Standards have been established to ensure "compliance" of products and services with HUMAN VALUES and ISLAMIC REQUIREMENTS in terms of affecting human health and other living things. Inspection and certification are carried out according to these standards. It is aimed to meet both the producer and the consumer on a common ground on the basis of reliability in halal certification. As is known, food and food-related activities are the most risky sectors in the world. Providing conformity and trust in terms of product safety and Islamic conditions until it reaches consumers, ultimately certification, provides marketing advantage to manufacturers. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR HALAL CERTIFICATE

•  All processes of the product, starting from the raw material to the finished product stage, all substances and additives in the product composition are in compliance with Islamic criteria and humanitarian requirements in terms of both the origin, the form and the methods of supply, and the source of supply,
•  The packaging materials, transportation, storage and preservation conditions of the product comply with humanitarian requirements and Islamic criteria,
•  Organizations must establish the ISO 22000 GGYS (Food Safety Management System) infrastructure, comply with good manufacturing practices (GMP), good hygiene practices (GHP) and HACCP requirements.
•  Compliance with prohibitions and limits determined by recognized organizations such as WHO, Food Codex, FDA, and legal requirements must be ensured.
•  Compliance with Islamic criteria, humanitarian requirements, product safety, health and hygiene requirements must be ensured both in the production stages of the product, in all elements in the product composition, and in the effects that may occur by the combination of each element in the product composition.

A. Pork and any material derived from pigs (hair, feathers, skin, oil, etc.)

Halal Certification Process:
1. Filling in the application form

6. Making the certification decision according to the decision of the Certification Committee, the Academic Committee and the Ulema Committee.
7. Halal certification audits are repeated every year. If the results are suitable, the validity of the certificate is extended for one year.

What is certification? It is the activity of determining in writing that any product, test, service, inspection, system or personnel is eligible as a third party (independent, impartial) institution or organization as a result of the evaluation by a Conformity Assessment Organization according to the determined standard conditions, technical regulations or criteria.

What is accreditation? It is a third party accuracy statement that officially indicates that a Conformity Assessment Body is sufficient and competent to perform conformity assessment activities according to national and internationally determined criteria.

Accreditation by national and / or international accreditation bodies; Conformity Assessment Bodies (Laboratory, inspection, certification, verification, etc.) are evaluated according to national and internationally accepted technical criteria, approved and regularly audited.

For this purpose, it is a signed agreement in which the signatories of the Multilateral Agreement (MLA) recognize and acknowledge the equivalence of the accreditation systems operated by the signing members, as well as the reliability of the conformity assessment results (Documents) provided by Conformity Assessment Bodies. Accreditation Bodies created by signing members For example; In Germany, DAkkS, UKAS in the UK, Netherlands RVA, TURKAK etc. in Turkey. the main purpose of organizations; They inspect the Conformity Assessment Bodies that apply to them according to the accreditation criteria in the scopes they request, and if the result is suitable, they register that they are sufficient and competent to provide accredited certification services.

It reduces the need for competent authorities to employ expert assessment personnel for controls and prevents duplication of audits.

Certification Bodies and Their Features
